Things to Do in Cedar Point

Driving over to Emerald Isle for a day spent relaxing on the beach, swimming, surfing or sun bathing is a good option in Cedar Point.  Hiking opportunities are abundant, from the Cedar Point Tideland Trailhead, as well as Croatan National Forest and Hammocks Beach State Park.  The Carteret County Speedway is also located nearby, in the town of Peletier.  There are also a number of parks, including Western Park, which has basketball and tennis courts, fields and a playground, as well as the Boathouse Creek Walking Trails, which have walking paths, a kayak launch and fishing areas.  Several boat ramps and marinas are also available to help boaters and kayakers access the pristine waterways and marshes, along with the nature preserves at Bear Island and Huggins Island.
